Final Magazine Advert

After picking apart the first draft we decided that it didn't look close enough to our final digipack. Because the final digipack is black and white we thought that the magazine advert should be also. Also we changed the font to match that of the digipack so that the audience can make the connection between the two. We wanted to keep the advert simple, but following all of the conventions that we think where necessary, in order to not bore and over constrain the advert.
Items we included:
  • Her Website
  • Instagram
  • Record Label
  • Date it's out
  • Her Name
  • Album Title
  • Image of the Artist

Magazine Advert Editing Update

Here is a little post for the editing update of the creation of the mgazine advert. From the feedback given by the group we have taken the points given to us and have started to apply them to our new digipack design shown in the 1st picture. Using photoshop we hope to combine to different images with the black and white effect, as our peers believed that this effect would allow for a connection between the advert and the digipack.

My Magazine Advert-First Draft

This is my first draft for the Magazine Advert. I took inspiration from the feedback given by the group from our first preliminary drafts and ideas. Such as slowly grading the bottom to the top from black and white to full colour. I changed the size of the QR code because originally it was to big. And moved the iTunes logo from the middle to the right as it frees up the picture. I changed the placement of "by Taylor Swift" to under "RED".

Magazine Advert Drafts Class Feedback

In class all of us grouped around some tables to discuss some of our ideas for our magaizne adverts. Gabi and I presented a couple of our ideas and passed them around the class. They all liked the images with no writing or information on it to show the idea of blending two similar pictures together. Also what was proposed was to have one image of Tuesday that gradually goes from Black and White at the bottom to full colour at the top. They all thought that this would be an original idea and would catcht the attention of the audience. However the image with the font and information on some of the class thought that the writing placement needs to be changed into different Locations and different sizes. The QR code was too big, even though the class did like that it worked and took the users phone search to Taylor Swifts website. The Itunes logo was appriciated by all however the cropping and photoshopping of it needs to be more precise. The main image was liked however I got the impression that it may look better in Black and White.
