Digipack Discussion

As a whole class today we sat around a couple of tables to each discuss some preliminary ideas for our digipacks highlighting the pro's and con's and suggested different ideas. We started of by showing the group some of our ideas that we hand drew, then followed by some pictures we had taken.

1. The group beileved that the album title "Red" needs to be in big with a possible 3D effect to create depth and in the colour red with a bold font. The artists name "Taylor Swift" needs to be hand written with a girly style font preferably at the bottom of the digipack. 

2. The group liked the idea of a rose, with possibly ading a falling petal or the rose slowly wilting , to link in with the main song of the album where it talks about love falling apart and the rose would be a connotation for this. 

3. The front image needs to be a close up rather than a deep mid or long shot, therefore showing the emotions of the artist. But also it creates the effect of making the audience more captivated by the digipack.

From this discussion with the group we have been able to come up with some pictures that could possibly be used for our final idea. These pictures where taken specifically for our album. The idea is to have a close up of Tuesday on the front of the album and a more distant long shot of Tuesday on the beach. With the writing of the track list being in line with the waves.
